I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and began my culinary career at the Anchorage Downtown Marriott at 16. After graduating high school, I attended Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC receiving his B.S. in Food Service Management & Culinary Arts. Before graduating senior year I starting Chef Corey & Co., a personal chef & catering company. I have cooked for players on the Charlotte Hornets, company presidents and CEO’s around Charlotte, and has been blessed to be featured on the T.V. show Charlotte Today. Currently, along with owning Chef Corey & Co. I am the corporate chef for SB&J Enterprises.
My passion started as a young boy, in the kitchen cooking with grandma who taught him the best secret to cooking everything with love. I took that secret and built a style of cooking that is simple, elegant, but yet bold and flavorful. I believe that food is always enjoyed first with your eyes. Every dish or meal I create no matter how simple it may be, I always love to develop and create different layers of flavors that will keep taste buds guessing for what is next. If I can win your eyes with color and simplicity, your stomach will always be soon to follow.
